Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) urged voting down KPMG, "in light of concerns about GE's previously undisclosed liabilities and accounting practices at GE that have prompted an SEC investigation." Glass, Lewis & Co. made a similar call two days earlier, according to the Wall Street Journal.
