BT forced to pay £1.6m to Italian boss at heart of accounting probe

In the criminal complaint filed in March, BT accused several former Italy executives, including Cimini, and other employees of breaking company rules and unlawful conduct. BT at first booked a £145 million charge related to the Italian issues. An investigation by KPMG later expanded that to £530 million.
